How to send a message to app users?

I have been sending e-mails manually to my users since releasing my app, but there are just too many now to keep doing that. I need to send everyone an update about my app, but I'm a bit confused on what the best practice for this is as far as delivery method.

What is everyone else using to accomplish this?
