How to send email with Substack?

Hi guys,

Substack is a whole new world to me. I know it's a tool for sending newsletters to your email list. But I'm confused how it works.

Supposed someone signs up for my newsletter on Substack, every time I publish a post on the platform, it will be automatically send to them or what?

Please enlighten on the mailing process. Thanks a lot.
