How to ship a landing page in less than 24hrs!

The best playbook to test any idea is to ship a landing page, build a beta waitlist and take it from there.

Here’s how to ship a landing page in less than 24hrs:

PS: This post comes with a checklist, resources I used to ship https://shoutout.so/

1/ The landing page - Your LP should have the below sections:
Open up with a punch line followed by why people care, how it works and social proof if any.

I used Carrd.co which helps you build one in less than 2hrs. You can find more tips here: https://twitter.com/thisiskp_/status/1272875859125448706

2/ Logistics - I used Namecheap to take care of essential logistics like buying the domain, getting a logo etc.

Also, make sure to set up a twitter account which helps you build the community around your product.

3/ Illustrations - They elevate your LP and helps communicate the idea to your audience easily.

I usually use Pablo Stanley's illustrations and I made a collection featuring
many open illustrations

Find it here: https://www.producthunt.com/@5harath/collections/illustrations

4/ Copywriting - For me writing copy is the hard part.

Thanks to the pros like @coreyhaines @harrydry @trulykp @robhope who helped me crafting my copy. Do follow them if you have any questions.

Also, this thread with amazing tips will inspire you: https://twitter.com/5harath/status/1300811628787707904

5/ Setup beta waitlist - Waitlist setup is important to gather people who are interested in your idea.

I used MailerLite which is easy to use and the best tool out there. I created an automated welcome sequence to invite people personally. Use gifs and make the copy short.

6/ Custom email - I used Pingly to set up my custom email. This really helps when you plan to send campaign emails from MailerLite and also it gives an official look to your audience.

7/ Viral loop - Build a viral loop in thank you page, welcome email where people can share their excitement with others. It’s a win-win situation where they get priority access and you get free word of mouth marketing.

I used clicktotweet.com or use this: https://twitter.com/dr/status/1301125818211471361

8/ Set up Analytics - I'm just in love with Plausible and it’s by far the cleanest analytics tool. It helps me track channels people are using to visit the LP, how many are active and more.

9/ Platforms to launch - Launch on twitter with an announcement tweet like this: https://twitter.com/5harath/status/1301145285251530752
Make the tweet short and crisp.

You can also do the same here in Indie Hackers

10/ Above all, have fun, show care and address each and everyone who supported you with a comment, a DM or even better give them a shoutout Winking face

People sense care and I truly believe in expressing the gratitude you have towards the community.

Hope this is helpful! If you loved the post, give an upvote and share it with a maker who needs to see this!

Thanks for your attention. One last thing, I used this very playbook and shipped an LP for my upcoming product. Would mean a lot to me if you check it out and if you are interested, join the waitlist here: https://shoutout.so/
