How to stream video like Youtube? (or what is your preference to prevent user download video)
I am on a project which needs to kind of self host videos. I am thinking to stream the video, but I research that the video should be in m3u8, or HSL, or DASH. (I read it can help prevent user from downloading directly the videos)
Also, I kind of need directions, which path should I take, learning from youtube, they have the BLOB url, or to stream it?
Do you know what PHP library/script can handle the delivery of the streamed video?

Even if they don't download it, they can still screen record it... I don't think this should worry you. In this era, we really lost our right to privacy. Everything we post on the internet doesn't belong to us anymore. We pretty much lost our property right of the content. This can be very troubling and sad. But that's why I'm saying that you should be at peace with it. There are thousands of apps like https://appcrood.com/vidmate for android, iPhone, PC that doesn't matter, thet can record and do anything... Scary, huh?

Agree with @twilson63: mux.com is a nice platform. Also JWPlayer is really powerful for media publishers and video outlets, with a very nice API. I would not go for other like Brightcove or Kaltura, as they are less appropriate for the kind of project you are working on.
