How to talk with users without being insincere?
Hey so I make newsprint.ltd and have been reaching out to meme creators on Reddit via chat.
Usually I start off with something nice (& true) I think about their content.
The majority find some value in the exchange. But some percentage of these folks -20 are kind of thrown off by this approach. It’s not a genuine interaction I kind of want something from them and not a person who really wants to be their friend. This one guy I talked to sent me a picture of his cat.
How can I go about this without feeling like a telemarketer calling during dinner??
Also welcome solutions that don’t involve reaching out via Reddit
I think you just have to accept a certain level of rejection on reddit chat outreach, I do the same and it's really a mixed bag...no matter how sincere it is. Twitter might be another good option, but again you can always expect a degree of rejection...don't worry about it!
