How to treat Idea Validation Feedback

Yesterday I have created and sent out my idea validation video and started collecting feedback (check it out here later — https://youtu.be/GuFlnGenDaA). The major conclusion (so far) — don't believe everything your hear. Here is why:

— People may be busy, so they don't pay enough attention to what they see
— You explainer video (page) can be bad (or rather not perfect), that though doesn't mean that your idea is bad
— People may like you personally (friends, family, etc.), so you get overly positive feedback, that though doesn't mean your idea is good
— People tend to focus on small details and forget the bigger picture, which means that their feedback in distorted
— Don't try to get feedback from everyone — make sure you send it to your target audience
— If you are using forms to collect feedback, whenever possible, don't make it anonymous, so that you can follow up — you will get much more insight during the conversation than from any survey

For me, I clearly need to amend my video, as it happens focuses too much on the clients of my potential clients (I target companies, but tend to focus on their clients' needs). Some of my people that I have sent it to, are simply not my potential clients — their companies are too small. Therefore, their feedback is not that relevant.

P.S. Validation among friends and family is good, but it's better also get professional feedback from either experienced startupers or startup support otganizations.
