How to use ChatGPT and still be a good person

  1. 5

Chat GPT is somewhat over rated for actual copywriting. It speeds up research and idea generation, but you will have to rewrite the article to get any traction for SEO. Articles that are well written with style and a personal voice will still rise to the top. The articles I generated using CGPT are quite general and need to be enhance by my creative intelligence. Agreed. Chat gpt definitely is very very impressive and it reduces your research time to half but ultimately it just gives a good template one can follow but you have to get your hands dirty to generate quality content

    2. 2

Agreed, but you can actually change that a little with further prompting.

When it gives a generic response, ask it to elaborate on a part of that generic response (this should be easy to do, since it usually gives it in essay format).

I whole heartedly agree. I would never take output word for word and just publish it.

Put your own spin on it, add sections, add personal anecdotes and experience. The stuff it generates is so bland and uninteresting lol

It's excellent at breaking through writers block though, and helping with idea and topic generation.

I'm building https://keywrds.ai to help folks use gpt3 to their advantage and help with keyword, idea and blog post outline generation.

Cool app! I do have a couple of suggestions though.

Change the domain name. Most users are going to spell it "keywords". A misspelling of an actual word as the name of a company is not good. I understand "keywords.ai" was probably already taken, but I think a different name altogether than a misspelling would be more beneficial.

Speaking of AI, I do have https://evoke-app.com/. It's an AI API service that hosts AI models on the cloud and offers them to developers to build their own AI apps.

We're launching a stable diffusion API first, but we'll have more on there in the future!

Thinking of having smaller LLM AI models like GPT-J or GPT-NEOX after this.

Hey, I actually have a product that is very similar. It's called https://www.enwrite.co. It allows you to generate optimized titles, meta descriptions, and article outlines for you blog posts. I am working on a keywords feature which should be out really soon.

Also a cool app! Did you guys both use the same website creator? The sites (other than being SEO related) are eerily similar in design too.

          1. 1

Haha! They do actually look very similar. I created the website myself using React, so probably not.

But we have a very similar color scheme.

            1. 1

Yea, the color scheme is definitely very similar. Good luck on your app!

I'm also developing something with AI myself if you're curious

neat, my product is a bit different. It's more geared towards keyword/seo research than AI writing.

I think what ChatGPT actually provides is a strong base for your content, of course in order for it to be interesting you have to make it personal and add your own thoughts but it does save a lot of time.

  3. 2

Essentially, it will be down to the platforms and search engines etc. that regulate this kind of stuff. You’re going to have a lot of opportunistic people using ChatGPT for their own agenda and you can’t just convince those people to be good/think of the greater good. So, yeah. It will be a larger force that will have to control it. Like Google's recent ‘code red’. We need immediate action before it becomes unmanageable.

This is good advice. It’s just unfortunate that there will be many lazy people out there that are using it to do their work NOT JUST improve the work they’ve already done. The people that are good will use it the right way, and the rest won’t. It’s the way with everything.

There is an extension that can assist you in displaying ChatGPT responses alongside the search results from Google, Bing, and DuckDuckGo. Maybe you should try it: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/chatgpt-for-search-engine/feeonheemodpkdckaljcjogdncpiiban/related?hl=en-GB&authuser=0

This is wise counsel. It's simply terrible that many lazy individuals would use it to complete their task rather of merely polishing the work they've already completed. The decent people will utilize it properly, while the remainder won't. It's always been like way.
