How to use Twitter effectively

Hello all

As a solo founder my time that I assign to my start up is very valuable.

Around 50% of my time is spent on marketing, creating content and posting on Social Media.

I understand Instagram reasonable well, which is growing in the right direction, although slowly at @motorworx_market

However. Can someone please put me out my misery with Twitter.

After I created my twitter account @motorworxmarket last October, created 397 tweets, reposted older content from my Instagram account, I have gained a measly 8 followers.

5 of which look like cam girls!

I really just don't understand it. I engage with tweets, add genuine comments to others, use hashtag, likes, create retweets etc. But there is zero return on my time and efforts

I know you shouldn't chase vanity metrics, but to get down to brass tax here. We all want a strong and genuine following...neither of which I am getting.

Can anyone point me in the right direction, either how I should be using it, or if there is some kind of structure I should be following

Any advice on this at all would be most appreciated.
