How Trust Pilot extorts businesses

This is pretty gross.
Wow... I never knew that's how they operated. I'm certainly reconsidering using Trustpilot, although, it is unfortunately the go-to place for reviews and generally what people search when looking for reviews on a company (ie "<company name> trustpilot").
I had no idea this is how Trust Pilot was structured. It makes sense for their business model but I've totally lost any respect or trust for them now.
Basicially, you can't control if you're listed and they don't monitor whether it's a legit customer. Dumb.
Any indie hackers experience something like this?
I feel like a lot of the reviews are fake and they don't do much to fix that, when I try to check for a business most of the reviews I read are not related to the business that are posted about
