How Turning Your App into a SaaS Boosts Open Source Success

I have an app that has been OpenSource since long [1]. One that I built for myself and tried guessing what people wanted.

All was well and good. However i decided to host the app on a domain [2] this year so that anybody can use it.

The complains started:

Boooooootsraaaaaaaaaaap ugh

Looks like an internal tool my team used to hack together

When clicking the create button, you can mistakenly hop off the app (As the sign out button was next to it)

These things never bothered me, more, i never thought of them.

So i set to work on the UI, used Designer tools etc. Changing Ui elements.

At the end of the day i realised that yes, building a SaaS streamlines a project far beyond repeated local usage.
