How users actually want to log into your service

Interesting outcome of the poll: that slightly more users prefer username/password over social login (Google/Facebook etc.).
I think when determining the best option for your service you should also take into consideration the responsibilities that come with the choice. When you start to register usernames/password you have more security/privacy concerns to manage than with social login, for example.
I also found the outcome really interesting and unexpected. I thought social login would be lot higher.
Of course, different applications will have different trade-offs. As an extreme example, a Twitter app relies on Twitter login and can't do the other method.
One thing I was surprised by was the hate for "magic link", despite a lot of people also liking it. Very polarizing. Maybe the best strategy is to offer all options.
