How We Got 1500+ Users in Just 10 Days After Pivot! - Our Remarkable Journey

From September 8th to today,

  • 10 days
  • 0 to 1500+ users
  • 20% paying users
  • 1600+ UV
  • 1st Product of the Day on Product Hunt 🥇
  • 1st Product of the Week on Product Hunt 🏆

Sounds amazing, right? 🤩
Here's how we achieved this, and I'll also be sharing the “spreadsheet of 176+ launch platforms” curated by the Trickle team, so don't miss out!👇

· DECIDE TO PIVOT ⤴️
In August, we made a significant decision to pivot. Trickle transformed from a task management tool into an AI tool to tackle screenshot chaos.
This isn't Trickle's first pivot, and for us, pivoting has unquestionably been a very painful process, but it's something we had to do.😖
The reasons for the decision to pivot mainly boil down to two factors:

  1. The task management tool market had already reached a boiling point in terms of competition, making it challenging to find opportunities for differentiation.
  2. We aimed to create a tool that could genuinely address our own pain points and issues.
So we spent nearly one month developing an MVP for New Trickle.

· VALIDATE IDEA 💡
In early September, I attempted to post on Indie Hackers and Reddit, seeking everyone's thoughts and suggestions on the brand-new Trickle.
Based on these suggestions, we continued to refine Trickle.
On September 8th, the day I published my previous post as you know, Trickle received positive feedback from users and acquired THE FIRST USER. 🌟
This marked a fresh beginning for Trickle, and we felt it was time for an official launch.

· LAUNCH & BREW 🚀
We began submitting Trickle's new materials to some launch platforms.
On September 13th, we launched Trickle on Product Hunt and got #1! - 1st Product of the Day & 1st Product of the Week.

Here are some quick stats about the launch: 👀

  • 1249 upvotes & 356 comments
  • 1600+ UV/day website traffic
  • 1880 followers
  • 1500+ registered users
  • 20% paying users

Certainly, there's an element of luck involved, but there are also numerous hacks.
Here is a compilation of information on 176+ LAUNCH PLATFORMS curated by the Trickle team. Each one has been personally researched by us.
We have put a tremendous amount of effort into this spreadsheet. But now, we will share it with you.❤️
I hope that will be really helpful for startup teams like us. 👇

· NEXT GOAL: SEEK PMF! 📈
For Trickle, this is just the beginning. Our journey is still ongoing.
Achieving Product-Market Fit (PMF) will be our next goal to explore.
The entrepreneurial process is akin to leveling up in a game, and we hope you can witness and participate in Trickle's journey with us. ⛵️
