Hi Yall, Sabba from VEED.IO here
GREAT NEWS! We just passed 200+ Paid users and £1K MRR in just 6 weeks.
We did have a lot of traffic before we started charging, mostly from organis search, but we roughly have a 1% conversion rate.
I have written a detailed post about the jou
Great product!
Can you share what tech/stack you used ?
And what hosting ?
Video processing is heavy operation and takes allot of cpu , how does it effect your revenue?
Hey, Tim here (technical co-founder)
"Can you share what tech/stack you used ?":

Hey Tim, I believe that video procrssing is a CPU intensive task and from what I've read, Node doesn't seem to be good with handling CPU bound tasks.
How are you handling this? I've been researching for a few days and can't decide if I should use Node for project which will execute cpu intesive tasks. Your advice would help a lot!
Congrats!
Also, you're WAY underpriced. I bet you could double or triple your price without slowing your revenue growth.
Thanks, Alex
I know but fear of rejection is a strange feeling.
I will draw a line after feature X and double it.
Sabba
You really need to stop relearning this lesson.
What’s the worst that happens if you changed it today? New subscriptions might slow down but they’d have to slow by a factor of 2-3x to slow revenue growth. Worst case scenario - you change the price back. Best case scenario, you’re growing faster, basically instantly!
Hey Sabba,
I read a reply by Tim that the backend is made of Node. I believe that video procrssing is a CPU intensive task and from what I've read, Node doesn't seem to be good with handling CPU bound tasks.

Any topic you specifically want?
Perhaps more details on your SEO process. How you chose what to target, etc.
Anything in the weeds of how things are actually being done
Sure, I will work on that for you this week.
great post - practical, straight to the point yet entertaining
I am really pleased it was practical + entertaining!
Thanks for reading
You should add your tagline to the blog. I didn't know what product you offered until I visited your homepage.
Great stuff Sabba. Have the product changes you made based off the 25% churn made an impact on churn yet? What types of churn metrics are you looking at? I wrote this awhile back, figured I'd share in case it's helpful to you...

Hi Matt,
Yep churn dropped by 50% in the last month. When users churn we ask them why and most often than not they just need one video...
I read your article, some good stuff there! I feel like we are also in growth mode but need to work on retention at the same time. One insight is if we also had a watch video page then maybe users would come back for content as well as to create.
Will keep you updated on this, hopefully, the next post I do will be "How we 10X our user retention"
Thanks
Sabba
Hope you do... Looking forward to the updates!
Love your energy and determination, keep it up!
I like your style of writing - imperfect english but straight from the heart (same as me :p)
Have you considered setting up an affiliate program? It seems like something that could work well for your vertical.
Thank you so much! Thanks, super kind of you. Can you recommend an affiliate program framework we can use?
Sabba
Sorry for late reply - got caught up with work. There are many affiliate programs that you can easily find but most of them only does referral program. I think a viral approach may work well for your product (See hotjar case study https://www.hotjar.com/blog/2016/01/12/the-hotjar-story-part-1-from-idea-to-60000-beta-signups-in-6-months/), you can consider viral loops (which I think is also uk company).
Personally for my own company (OnVoard), we're building referral programs by ourselves. Takes about one week's work.
I hope that helps! Keep hustling.
Lol, your "beta" in your logo made me laugh. I love it — who's idea was that? :)
The 5 year old in me that I just can't shake..
Congrats!
good read. thanks for sharing Sabba!
