How we plan to reach 500€ MRR in 1 month with our "about to be launched" SEO SaaS 🚀

First of all: we may not reach 500€ MRR in 1 month, but WE ARE GOING TO TRY VERY HARD 💪

We want to reach 500€ MRR (Monthly Recurring Revenue) in 1 month with our upcoming SEO SaaS and in this post we are going to tell you how we plan to get it.

It is a CHALLENGE... Will we succeed?

INDEXED.pro SEO tool is coming SOON... 🚀

Before talking about the tool as such, I would like to comment that I started this project (with another name) with another friend at the beginning of 2022 and that, due to different circumstances and reasons, it never saw the light of day... A few weeks ago I started it again and VERY SOON it will see the light of day.

Our brand new SEO-related bootstrapped SaaS is about to be launched: https://indexed.pro - We (@Ricki_io) have developed the MVP in less than 20 days (part-time) and 50 customers are already using it. How? You may wonder... If the tool has not been launched yet?

2 weeks ago or so we pre-launched it on Twitter + LinkedIn and offered a SUPER LIMITED Lifetime deal (only 50 slots at $89 available) - Thanks to our audiences, the 50 available slots were sold in just 5 days - And those 50 are the ones who are already using and testing our SEO tool.

Among other cool SEO stuff, INDEXED(dot)pro speeds up and automates website URL indexing / deindexing on Google and acts as a "keeper", making sure that the URLs of your website that should be indexed are indexed. We have an ambitious roadmap.

FYI: URL indexing is crucial for SEO, but (important) it's NOT the only thing involved in SEO.

How we plan to reach 500€ MRR in 1 month (NO ads)

To reach 500€ ($530) in 1 month we need to get, more or less, 66 customers paying the basic plan ($8) and in order to get that we are...

Launching

It's not possible to grow the MRR of a SaaS that is not launched and publicly available 😂 So, we are launching VERY SOON 🚀 [This is the very first step]

Using Our audiences + #BuildInPublic

It would be a mistake not to use our audiences (Twitter, LinkedIn, newsletter, etc.) to raise awareness of INDEXED(dot)pro.

I sincerely believe that it is easier to start an online business having an audience than not having one.

On this point my advice is that you try to grow your audience or start to create it and grow it if you don't have it. How? Providing valuable, useful content, being funny, sharing, BEING KIND, helping others...

Fortunately, I have a relatively large audience on Twitter (I've been on it since 2009). Being "old" has its advantages 😂.

And about #BuildInPublic, we are going to publish everything on our channels (Twitter, LinkedIn, Newsletter): product, marketing, business, what works for us, what doesn't work for us, numbers, metrics, etc.

Launching on Product Hunt and related

The usual ones when it comes to launching digital products. I won't say much more on this point.

The only thing to highlight here is that it is not enough just to "launch", you have to launch and (oh, surprise) do marketing to get your product to the highest possible positions and, therefore, get more visibility.

Network / Contacts

I've been in the SEO and digital marketing industry in general for many years and my network of contacts in that industry is large. And I'm not talking about a network of contacts at the LinkedIn connection level, I'm talking about people I trust and many of them are friends.

It would be another mistake not to use this network of contacts to introduce them to this new product, ask them (please) for outreach and more.

It is important to have your own audience, but it is just as important to have a network of FRIENDS.

Building Partnerships + Integrations

In some projects, integrations with other tools can serve as a lever for marketing and business growth.

In the case of INDEXED(dot)pro we have several tech integrations already developed that may (until we launch and make "noise" we will not know 100%) help us to grow the MRR.

Earlier I was talking about networking and partnerships are very important: content partnerships, cross promotion partnerships, tech partnerships,

Building Satellites

In some cases (not always possible), it is possible to build "parallel products" (keep them simple please) to your main product and do marketing with them. Always with the idea of deriving traffic / users to the main product.

In this case (in which it is possible) we have some "satellite" products planned (did someone say Chrome extensions?), but we are keeping that ace up our sleeve to reveal them a bit later 🤫

Starting to do SEO

I said it a bit above: indexing URLs is important for SEO, but it's far from being the only thing to do... If it were, the SEO industry wouldn't exist 😅

It is necessary to do market and keyword research, define the website architecture (+ internal linking), set up landing pages, get external links, take great care of the EEAT part, pamper the website performance... And more...

When we talk about SEO for SaaS, it is important to have a good homepage, pages for features, integrations, comparison pages with similar tools (versus), a blog with articles about the main topic of your product (and related ones)... Having very clear that the goal is to get customers and not only visits.

I really liked this article about how Tim's Pallyy tool has grown thanks to, among other things, SEO > https://www.indiehackers.com/post/building-a-74k-mrr-product-as-a-rookie-coder-754f96d239

More info

In the short term we do not plan to set up an affiliate program. Nor do we plan (in the short, medium or long term) to run online advertising campaigns.

We really like to be very very #bootstrapped.

    I think you'll easily hit 500€ MRR.

From your work experience, network, and marketing skills, looks like it should be easy for you! Your product promise is good, too!

Assuming that 20-50% of the current users actually start paying the $8, you'll need another chunk of "early-adopters". In which the % of conversion will be even lower. I suggest you add a $1 trial. Has worked for SaaS since decades.

🚀 Tip: To skyrocket yourself to 500€ MRR, I suggest you offer this to bigger and enterprise companies in your network. Landing one such client could help you hit that goal easily! Good luck, mate!

PS. I'm on your waitlist, would love to test it out and give you feedback! :)

Thanks for the tip and your kind words :)

  2. 2

Would love to hear a bit more about the 'no affiliate program'? Curious why :)

Good luck! Looking forward to the update!

      Hey @Esus 👋

No affiliate program in the short term because the prices of our product are "low" and I prefer to focus in other marketing strategies / tactics :)

  3. 2

Nice, please update next month :)

You say you need roughly 66 conversions, and it doesn't look like you have presales. Do you have any leads? Validation? Pre-launch metrics? Where did the 500 number come from?

    1. 1

Hey @anthonyronda thanks for your comments and questions.

We have validated the tool with friends, pre-launch lifetime deals (50) and our own products / websites.

We have more or less 450 "leads" that subscribed to know more about INDEXED.pro...

The number 500 (I guess you mean 500€ MRR) comes from nowhere... It is just a goal in the short term that we, taking into account everything I have shared in the post, should be able to get :)

What's your primary channel for customer acquisition?

  5. 2

Hope you'll achieve more than your Target 🎯

    1. 1

Let's hope we make it! We have set an unambitious, but realistic, goal for the first month

      Thank you very much :)

You are already a customer of INDEXED.pro 🥰
