How we reached 2000$ in revenue in 25 days

We launched https://usenextbase.com 24 days ago. Just wanted to jot down my thoughts on how we reached a small win of 2000 USD quickly.

  • We didn't undersell. Our lowest tier is priced at 295$. We wanted to give a further discount for our early users but instead of underselling too low at 150$ or so, we decided to be aggressive and sell it at a value we felt was reasonable and comparable to other options in the market. 😄

  • We looked into our analytics and found users who signed up but didn't purchase it. We reached out and requested for feedback and why they chose not to go through with a purchase. Some replied, some didn't. And when the feedback was resolved, some users converted and purchased the product. 🤗

  • We talk to some of our customers regularly and they give us insights on what features to build next.

  • We also talk to our competitors. For eg we exchange notes with Jonathan who built https://supastarter.dev and help each other out. The market is large and multiple competing products can survive together. So we should help each other out.

  • This is still a very small win, but I thought I share these notes with you in hopes to see more makers achieve their goals.

Note: Our product hunt launch also went fairly ok. We got 90 upvotes and ranked about 15th in the day. So it was not a huge win. We didn't plan the launch in advance either. We just wanted to launch something quickly. So while PH did play a small role, our best sales happened through just constant communication with customers.

Wish you the best.
