How we started a community building newsletter

Our team at Commsor is working on creating tools for community builders, so we often share community-related Tweets, articles, and podcasts in our Slack chat every day.

A few months ago we got the idea to curate these resources and links into a community-building newsletter that we could share and distribute beyond our team.

We called it Community Chat Weekly.

Started by sending the newsletter to a few community manager colleagues, and the feedback we received was incredible.

Fast forward four months and we're on issue #15, have expanded the newsletter into a Slack community, launched a website https://comm.chat, and now write our own custom weekly content in addition to curation.

This past week's issue we wrote about the rise of the Chief Community Officer position.

Last week's was about Facebook and LinkedIn's community initiatives for 2020.

Before that, we explored the 90-9-1 Rule and did a deep dive into various 2020 industry research reports.

We have recently had a lot of interest from other community builders that want to contribute to the newsletter, and I wanted to open up an invitation to the Indie Hackers Community Building group!
