How we started Boring Memo

Introducing Boring Memo 🗞️

When we started Boringlaunch, we had to market our product with a limited budget and social media following.

Using Boringlaunch for Boringlaunch was great start but what's next?

Where and how can we find new users in cost effective manner?

We tried multiple things and the learning is: There is no such thing as an evergreen marketing channel. Once a marketing opportunity becomes known, it quickly becomes saturated and expensive.

Let me share an example of an recent opportunity:

On October 1st, Channing Allen, co-founder of Indie Hackers, hinted that you'd soon be able to launch your product on Indie Hackers.

I immediately opened the product page and added our product, Boringlaunch, to the list. However, there was no option to launch it yet. So, I kept visiting the website daily to check whether they had released the launch feature.

Yesterday, I opened my product page and saw the option to nominate your product for top products. Guess what? Today is our launch day and currently we are ranking at No #2 on the launch platform

Indie Hacker Alpha Launch

And that's why, we have created a Boring Memo where we identify and share new opportunities before they become well-known. This allows you to capitalize on low-cost promotional opportunities.

How It Works:

  1. We identify and verify new marketing opportunities.
  2. We share information as quickly as possible via email.
  3. You can use that opportunity if it is relevant to your product.
