I launched my new project last weekend visit.page which is a link in bio tool. I was trying to find a good link in bio tool which is mobile-first and design focused but couldn't find one. Most tools out there have clunky UI and isn't optimized to be used in a mobile browser.
Have completed the easy part i.e. creating a landing page and teasing with the product. Now the hard part, how should I market this product in an already crowded market where there are 100s of link in bio tool in existence?
I have a small checklist for marketing and will keep on executing on that but curious to know how others have successfully marketed their product in a heavily competitive market?
For me, I’m building SimpleCopy.io, a tool to help write blog posts/emails/help docs faster. And I plan to differentiate myself on quality of the content output and features. Most ai writing tools just slap together an introduction and title. My app will instead create a much more guided experience to content creation all the way down to a CTA at the end of your blog post
Got it. But how are you planning to market your tool in an already crowded AI based writing tools?
I have a waitlist already and a 55k audience on twitter so getting the views isn’t the issue but showcasing myself as different in the market is my main focus. It’s also very early days in AI. I read quite a bit about competing in a crowded market and making a better app with better features is a big one. But I’m also creating a bunch of content right now to dominate there. Most creators of these apps don’t actually have a large audience so they don’t know how to create content that gets views. That’s my marketing edge so to speak!
Got it. Have your written/spoke about how are you creating content? Using any system to generate ideas, etc.?
Would love to read up.
I’m actually using my own app! Haha. I recently wrote this post that was featured in the indie hackers newsletter as well

Giving it a read. Thanks for sharing Randall!
