How would you build a search web app like BuzzSumo?

Hi everyone!

I'm new to Indie Hackers and I'm very excited to be part of the community.

Right now, I am more interested in developing my coding skills. One product that I really admire is BuzzSumo. Unfortunately, it's too pricey for a hobbyist like me so I m planning on creating my own version. And in the process, develop my front/back end skills.

From what I understand, the way the app is design is by having a:

Web crawler that goes through certain sites (reddit, FB, other news source). Then it will scrap all the information.

To search through the information, elasticsearch is a tool that comes to mind. You can make query and retrieve information with it.

For the web app, you will use elastic search as your backend. It can pair up with a framework like Django (keeping python consistent). On the front end, it's pretty lite since you're just querying and displaying the content. A framework might not even be necessary, but I've heard a lot of good things about Vue.js.

Am I missing anything pieces along the way? Thanks!

That's a good idea, but it's not about coding app, it's about building Big app.
I n a data stream and Big Marketing competition .
For r that, you have to buy data and to process it.
