How would you grow this newsletter?

Hello all,

Looking for some advice on how to grow my newsletter.

It's called FeedFOMO (https://feedfomo.com/) - it's a weekly round-up of the best social posts me and my team find in a week. It's usually tech/design/marketing/meme focused as we, the curators, make up the team of a digital agency.

Here's last week's edition: http://mailchi.mp/8125692e1c9d/feed-fomo-49-the-future-is-now

We started off with a database of 10000 subscribers that we had acquired through different campaigns. Of the 10000 we retained ~4000 engaged subscribers over 4 months.

On top of that, we've generated around 100 additional organic subscribers.

We've started a referral campaign in the last couple weeks - go into the draw to win a $200 visa gift card for every referral of yours that signs up - we have had 0 new subscribers.

What I'm thinking - The hook isn't clear enough for the newsletter... it's something for everyone but not huge value for any one person.

Should I pivot to something more niche? e.g. emerging tech news or best social ad posts

Would really appreciate your thoughts!

For me as well, the message on the landing page isn't clear. How do I benefit from subscribing?

Since you've asked how to grow, many creators told me that cross-promotion with other newsletters works well. That's why I've created a platform dedicated for cross-promotion (https://pipewing.com/).

I really like your landing page and the value prop is clear!

I am think what makes this better than other solution?

Currently working on a newsletter series as well, keen to hear your opinion!

Please bear in mind I'm super picky about what lands in my inbox.

For me, the landing page isn't clear what I will get. 'Social feeds' is very vague.

Personally I feel it isn't niche enough and the stuff there is not very engaging. At least to me.

What's your goal with the newsletter? It doesn't feel like there is a clear one?

The newsletter was founded out of a slack channel we had where we all share things we find interesting. The channel is called "inspire-me" - I guess that's the goal: to inspire people with interesting content they may not have seen.

That being said I agree that there isn't a strong enough hook.

I think it's time to pivot to something more niche.

Do you actually get conversions on that landing page?...
    How do you messure engaged?
From 4k people if someone thought it was valuable there should have been at least a couple of just native shared without a promotion..
That sample email, doen't look like anything to me  it's not amusing or special doesn't even feel like current, don't miss out this thing... nothing there draws any emotion...

Agreed. We have had some good feedback from readers though. People have told us they look forward to receiving it and like having a summary of the week in their inbox.
