How would you market a subscription early-warning system without getting blocked everywhere?

Building ForesIQ, a tool that warns you BEFORE subscription renewals hit your account (not after you're charged).

The problem I'm solving:
I got charged $200 for an annual subscription I completely forgot about. Tried to cancel 3 weeks earlier but procrastinated. By the time I remembered, money was gone.

The solution:
Track subscriptions. Get email warnings 3,5 or 7 days before renewals. Cancel before you're charged.

My current challenge:
I've got a clean landing page, the MVP product (https://foresiq.lovable.app), clear value prop, and genuine market need. But I'm struggling with distribution:

Reddit auto-removes every post (new account, low karma)
Product Hunt feels too early (no users yet)
Cold outreach feels spammy for a consumer product
SEO will take months

My questions:

  • Where would you post about this to get initial users?
  • How do you build trust for a product that handles sensitive data (subscriptions, renewal dates)?
  • Is there a "subscription forgotten" community I'm missing?

I know the solution is probably "just create valuable content" but I'd love specific channel recommendations from people who've launched similar products.
Any advice appreciated. Willing to share what I learn along the way.

appreciate it\! the 'earned curiosity' vs 'collecting a debt' distinction matters a lot for how it feels to both sides. good luck with the iterative build — the compound effect of small consistent bets adds up.

Looking for feedback on my product, with a new logo and custom domain. Could you check it out and give some feedback directly on the product?

Good timing — I'm building in an adjacent space (RecoverKit, payment recovery for SaaS businesses) and ran into the same distribution walls. A few things that actually worked:

For Reddit: don't post about your product at all yet. Find threads in r/personalfinance, r/Frugal, r/mildlyinfuriating where people complain about being surprised by subscription charges. Answer the question in the thread first, build karma, then you'll have standing to mention ForesIQ when the moment is right. The pattern is: be useful 10 times, then mention the product once.

For your trust question: the framing matters a lot. 'Track subscriptions' sounds like you're scraping sensitive data. 'Get a reminder 7 days before your Netflix renewal' is the same product, sounds completely safe. Lead with the specific use case, not the capability.

For 'subscription forgotten' communities: your best bet is probably personal finance influencer comment sections on YouTube, and 'budgeting' Facebook groups. The people who get surprised by subscription charges are usually tracking a budget in a spreadsheet somewhere — they're not on Twitter.

One reframe worth testing: instead of 'subscription early warning system' (which sounds enterprise-y), try 'set it and forget it — your subscriptions won't forget you.' The problem you're solving is forgetting, so the positioning should solve forgetting.

After being banned before knowing this trick, I tried your advice for a few days already, and it's working. So far, no indication of another ban :)
Please just a favor, could you go to my product and give me a fair and honest feedback, that would be really appreciated www.foresiq.co

Thanks a lot. I love the: "be useful 10 times, then mention the product once." Thanks for all the insights. Let's stay strong and build something iteratively 💪
