How would you market a YouTube channel?

I've just started a new side project. It's a youtube channel for a very narrow audience: "Philosophy divulgation in Spanish" That's because philosophy is my hobby and I wanna see how "2018 youtube" works from inside.
AAANNND, I wanna ask you in general terms (not for my particular case). How would you market a youtube channel? What strategies would you use?
Any musts, cons or thoughts about??

Having grown my channel to over 5,000 subscribers, I have to say it's all about posting consistently, if not daily.
I agree with what others have said though and use TubeBuddy for cool stats -- but to really market your videos, post your videos where your niche is relevant and just keep posting. Follow the guidelines:

Ohh very interesting comment! Thanks, it helps me a lot. Also, I did not know about TubeBuddy and I was thinking to build a chrome extension to easy manage my youtube video links. This way is faster hahaha

I'll add to what @csallen and @RPNJeff said around SEO on YT's search engine.
One big shift of the YT algorithm, as referenced by several YouTubers, is that a lot of their traffic now comes from what YT calls 'Browse Features'. Less and less traffic comes from their subscription base (although ask ppl to subscribe as it's a signal, albeit with much less emphasis, that YT uses to determine whether to show a vid in the Browse Features).
Browse Features include Recommended videos (the Recommended section is the first section of the YT homepage) and Suggested videos (videos that appear next to the video when on the video-view page). The signal that's been found, thus far, that has the strongest correlation to whether a video will be shown in the Browse Features is metadata.
Metadata includes tags, title, and the description box. A good tool to help with creating relevant metadata is TubeBuddy and Roberto Blake has a good playlist showing how it's used. I'd also recommend keeping up with Roberto's YT playlist in general because he does a good job at keeping up with, and explaining, the ever-changing YT algorithm and other YT issues.

Hi Marcos! I'm a YouTuber, I talk about the Miss Universe pageant there (haha, I know. Anything related to business). But when I wanted to make a video "viral" I actually bought keywords on AdWords inside YouTube, and I got more than a thousand views from that ad.
I bought only the search on YouTube, for me it made more sense.
In my situation, I'd market it via the Indie Hackers newsletter. I'm sure there are also some things you can do around SEO for YouTube's search engine, specifically. And since YouTube seems to be increasingly focused around "stars" who have a lot of influence, I might find some who are related to the videos I want to make, get on their radar, and see if they could help promote my channel in mutually beneficial ways.
