How would you monetise this?
Hi all,
I recently deployed released notably (https://notably.cc/), a free tool for creating and sharing text snippets with markdown support. I got a decent amount of traction on this after sharing it on HN (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=21735329) and am now getting stable traffic of hundreds of daily views.
Notably is currently totally free and requires no registration to use, which I think is part of its appeal. But I'm keen to know whether it might be possible to monetise it by adding premium features (private notes, etc.) and what people think is the best way of going about this. How would you go about achieving this without compromising the current simplicity of the app?

Private note groups makes sense (ie. I work at company X, I want to share notes with my dev coworkers, I can try to convince my CTO to pay for membership plan).
However one comment from HN stood out to me, "This is fantastic. I am working on a peer to peer file system sharing tool in the browser. Soon I will add a text messaging component and I want it to support markdown cleanly just like this." Do you think there could be a market for "embed markdown"? Sorta like customer feedback surveys https://www.getfeedback.com/
Thanks for the feedback. I like both of these options - the first is the more obvious one which I kind of had in mind anyway, but the second is probably more intriguing. There's a whole bunch of open source markdown editors out there but I think it'd be pretty cool to have something which you can configure through a dashboard (to change things like themes, colour etc.) and a drop in script that renders the editor in any site.
