When did you last have a conversation with someone? If I ask you to recall what it was about, will you be able to remember the specific details? No, right?
Turns out that people are more likely to remember the gist of what someone said, not the exact details. This is known as the Verbatim Effect and it can have a great effect on how your content performs!
Why? Because more and more people are spending less time reading online. This makes it less likely for them to remember the specific details of your article or social media post.
So, what should a you do as a founder putting out content on your website or blog?
Since I am doing content marketing myself for Brutask, I thought of sharing few tips that I've learnt to improve my content practices. Here's what you can do to tackle the Verbatim Effect ->
Create headlines that are search-friendly and accurately describe what’s in your article. So, when they are looking for an article on the topic, they’ll likely gravitate to that article they read a month back by Googling the headline name
Create easy-to-share and remember snippets of your content that are impactful. Place them in your article in a way that’s noticeable and different from the rest of your content. People would be likely to remember these snippets than what the entire article said.
What else would you add to this list? Let's discuss and help out everyone in the community who is focusing on content marketing!

Good idea!
Hey Siddhita! I like your tips. Accurate headlines and stand-out snippets are both good ideas. 🧠
I would add that the organization of the content is very important, especially considering that many people will skim the article. Structuring the article with clear takeaways (the way you did!) will help people to get maximum value in minimum time.
Thanks for sharing!
