How you like my portfolio website?
Hi, how are you doing today? If you don't mind, some feedback on my portfolio would be nice. I don't really plan on promoting it a whole lot. Let me tell you a bit of a back story first if you don't mind. Anyway, when I first made my website in 2017, I didn't really know what I was doing. I still unfortunately struggle because of my low budget and thats why my Indie Hacker product listing(s) say $-70/month in revenue. I also struggle since my products don't have any paying customers. If you have any recommendations on that, please tell me below. Anyway lets go back in time to 2017 or better yet 2016. In 2016, I just had a crummy free Wix website that literally was horrible looking. Elements piled up on each other and so on. I was originally going to use it as a website for a lighting company, but that ended up being unrealistic due to all the work that goes into a company like that and the fact I was ten year old. Then I start doing research on advertising since you know, As people always say, companies don't work without advertising so I decided why not do some research just to get a head start. I see PPC management services and so much complicated crap that goes into advertising. So then I get an idea. "Why not make a company that does all that for you?" Sounds like an awesome idea right? Well it ends up being a massive money pit that ends up costing me not just hundreds, thousands. I do research on APIs trying to make this automated system and before I know it I've spent three years of hard work and money that goes down the drain. Well how did it turn into a money pit? Well Covid-19 comes around and destroys my entire project. Well isn't that a online business you may ask? Well yes it is but it wasn't destroyed because of lockdown, It was destroyed because this company called Adzooma made their service entirely free until further notice. "Well crap" I think, "My product I'm working on is going to be free too but has not nearly as many features". I know this sounds bad, and it totally haunts me still to this day. Like how am I ever going to be the same after not only having to deal with Covid-19, but also on this wasted product that nobody ever notices? I wont. Dear Sewell. You're on the right path, you'll find your profitable tool, don't give up.
And as advice; steal a design system, from experience I can tell that people are first and easily affected by a design system, an icon, a font, some padding, check these..

Try to use more vertical spaces and paragraphs gaps on Indie hackers. It will make your posts more visually easy to read for everyone! :)
As far as your website goes, it looks functional. It surely got me clicking on your work but the design can be better. I would suggest you to try something like squarespace or wix to get off the ground and running.

I already use Wix and am actually a Wix partner. I used the Wix Velo (Corvid), developer tools with Wixes Editor X website builder to add custom functionality to my applications such as custom login, custom signup, Google social sign-in. I also made the Policy Generator thanks to Wix Velo developer tools. have also made websites from scratch with HTML, CSS, and Javascript. On the design, I know where your coming from and actually already plan on adding more creativity to the design in the next few days. I'll reply to this comment when I have added more creativity to the site.
