Humaans – people management/HR tool designed with remote teams in mind

https://blog.humaans.io/building-humaans/

Hey guys,

We're building https://humaans.io – a modern HR tool to help businesses manage their people admin stuff. This includes storing people records and documents in a centralised place, logging in time off and working from home/wherever days, and better provide company wide visibility around where people are and what they're working on.

We made it fast and slick, and got great feedback from companies around the globe. You can read some insights here: https://blog.humaans.io/building-humaans/

We're now kicking off our private beta. Have some clients already lined up and about to be on-boarded in the coming weeks and looking for more.

If you're interested in joining, feel free to ping me.
I'd love to tell you more.

Have a great day!
Giovanni

Hello- I'm interested in your product and have signed up for the Beta. (I would like to help you guys grow this product). I currently work for a pretty big HR company here in the U.S. And feel the industry is ripe to be disrupted. There are other smaller HR companies in the silicone valley floating around trying to disrupt the industry but they are forced to integrate with big bloated HR systems. I think if you are building a product from the ground up - you have the potential to make big disruptions.

Please reach out to me if you'd like to continue the discussion - we can discuss ideas.

      Thanks for your input.

You're right in saying that we're building this from the ground up. We are fundamentally challenging some assumptions made without placing the users at the core of the product definition. We started conversations with businesses in need for this even before writing a line of code, and keep evolving our relationships.

Definitely keen to connect. I'll drop you a line.

    Hi Giovanni,

First of all great name and cool product. I am a big fan of your design choices. However, I must ask, why is the design shifted to the left? Here is an image: https://i.imgur.com/VNOzU1Z.png

Is this a web app or a desktop app?

Thanks Casey! And you're right, didn't notice that if viewed from large devices this in not placed right in the middle. Assume you checked in from a large screen, right?

      This is a web app.

        Yep, from a larger screen.

The UI looks great, keep it up.

@suddu001 we started with user research even before building the product.

This was tactical for 2 reasons:

        • We were in a position to build a product based on real pain points emerged and users/companies need, not only our assumptions and perception of the problem
        • We build up relationships that evolved in interest in our product (and this led to some of the companies interviewed converting and joining our beta)

To reach these people we first identified the segment that was of interest for us (eg. companies with 20-200 people, distributed, with an HR person already in place, etc), and from there leveraged our network plus did cold out reach.

This led us to collect feedback from over 60 businesses in under 2 months.

Now we're also sharing more of what we're doing, and this is generating sign ups on the website (4-5 per day), which is not a lot, but helps.

        Hope that helps.
