Hey IH'ers
I have built Prospectss which is a tool to Verify any email address or find someone's email. I am pushing new features to it this weekend, like Search Email by Domain, Search Phone Number by Domain, Website Technology Lookup & Technology Lookup Database.
I am thinking to release the product with a pricing of $49/per month for Unlimited access to all the features.
Does this pricing sound lucrative?
From what I understood, a confluence of Hunter and BuiltWith? could be interesting.
Yes, but without the bounds of tiered or credit-based pricing. Unlimited Credits Model for just $49
If it works as effective as Hunter/RocketReach/ZeroBounce and all those tools then from a consumer standpoint that's great pricing!
Yes, as effective as the others. A bit slower in terms of displaying results but the results are as good as them.
Hi @aminmemon,
Congratulations on the launch of Prospectss. I like your website design with purple gradients.
Amin, how have people responded to the $49/per month price?
Here's a suggestion that hopefully will help you attract more users:
When you wrote that Prospectss is a "Hunter/LeadThatLead" alternative, I didn't know why Prospectss is better than those products? I have used Hunter before, and the free tier is generous. Why should I switch to Prospectss?
If you think that other people might be thinking the same question and you want to create a good answer to this question, check out my website SplashPad (https://getsplashpad.com). SplashPad helps entrepreneurs attract users by intelligently recommending language for describing your product in promotional emails. For example, SplashPad could help you explain which types of users should use Prospectss instead of Hunter and why.
Amin, I would be happy to help you write a message that promotes Prospectss using SplashPad, and you could either email that message to potential customers or post it on Indie Hackers. Are you open to that? Just pick a time slot that works for you: https://tinyurl.com/yyn3mrqa.
Keep up the great work,
Ryan
Thanks. I haven't pushed the changed pricing of $49/pm unlimited yet. Will be doing mostly this week.
I did check out your SplashPad MVP. I suppose it uses pre-built templates to help out write better and forces you to include copy which converts better. I would maybe give it a test drive if there was a free plan. Although I am not sure if this is a recurring problem for me to subscribe to one of your plans or maybe I am not your target audience.
Hey @aminmemon,
Sounds good. Good luck with the $49/pm change.
You described SplashPad perfectly. You mentioned that you would consider it if there were a free plan but are not sure if this is a recurring problem.
Actually, we just launched a free option. Since we want to make sure every user has a great experience, we're doing 15-minute onboarding calls with all new users, and during that call we'll help you compose your first message for your company. More info here: https://www.getsplashpad.com/free-trial.
It's nice @aminmemon - I'm curious how do you see this market? What makes you start this product?
We had used some of the tools in the market. Some tools are good, some have x feature, some lack some features, some are too expensive. You have to use the X tool and then take the data and run to Y tool to complete the outcome. For example, get some data from some app and then send emails via another. And on top of that, you are tied up with paying for credit usage. Credit-based system is great from the business side but not from the user side.

We are envisioning to build like Ahrefs for Prospecting, Lead Generation, Cold emailing. 1 Tool to rule them all.
We have a nice feature list planned.
Right now, we are working on features and pushing them out every week or two.
Here is one that we are really excited about:
