I already have a SAAS product but need a savvy partner to help me sell and grow it

I’m just putting this out there in the community to see what interest I get.

Last year I built what I thought was a pretty cool saas product. It align wells to our core offering and is the perfect bolt on tool for our current customer to our education platform.

Analysthub.enterprisedna.co

Check it out above.

Sales have been a struggle the last few months and I’m personally finding it hard to turn it around due to other commitments. It’s hard to divert my attention from what’s working in our business, so the tool is getting neglected, especially on the marketing side.

I think I’m looking for a unique person here. But happy to talk with you if you fit the below criteria...

  1. You need to be able to understand the tech of how the app was built and maybe make upgrades to it. If you’re a fast learning I’m sure you can figure it out.

  2. Need to understand or be learning core concepts of growth hacking to improve sales of the tool. Someone who is intellectually curious can find all the information online, it’s just a matter of dedicating yourself to mastering it.

  3. I’m looking to pay a very minimal monthly fee to partner with me, but mainly this would be a profit share arrangement over a period of time that would be agreed to.

  4. This would be perfect for someone young, wanting a solid side hustle, doesn’t want to spend >100K building a saas tool yourself, want to learn from an established business which is growing and expanding. Also wants the chance to learn all about indie hacking while actually doing it, with basically no financial risk, just upside if you can actually boost our sales and make the tool more successful.

Send me a message below if interested.

Thanks
Sam

Hey Sam, I understand your situation. I was in the same place a couple of years ago and got a cofounder to try and help me with marketing. It turned out to be mostly a waste of everyones time and resources.

What I realized is that marketing must be a company wide effort to succeed. There is no silver bullet, and probably not some magical person out there who can solve your problems in that area. At least it didn't work that way for me.

From interacting with lots of indiehackers, it seems like the successful one ended up learning marketing themselves. Wether it's via partnerships, growing their audience or running paid ads.

I hate to tell you this but you will probably have to bite the bullet and learn to do marketing yourself, even if you hate it (like I did).

I definitely agree with you don't worry. It's more just time and head space. I don't have it anymore, as other things are taken off and take all my time. So it's mainly just having someone to focus on it. That's the idea here.

I'm more looking for someone or group to use this as a learning opportunity with some potential upside and not much downside risk.

Not really. There's something there with the app, I'm just executing poorly at the moment.

    Hello Sam,

I took a look at your website and found your product interesting, as I am looking for something similar that might work in my market/sector of interest. I work for a FAANG cloud provider after shutting down my last startup. My last startup had a dedicated marketing team in another country, and that team is available to assist in my side projects.

I have a few ideas to improve your offering, and possibly be a part of a product portfolio to offer to customers in this market.

    Thank you.

I would be interested in learning more about what you are looking for.

Just from browsing around the site and online presence, I see a few low-hanging fruit that is easily correctable from the web side of things.

That being said, I have no formal indie-hacking experience, and the only Power BI news I follow is the weekly meme thread on reddit, But I believe I could possibly help out at least a tiny bit.

Maybe you are all correct below, finding someone for this is a pipedream.

Maybe a better strategy is to crowdsource ideas for the app?

If you are looking for a hands-on person that will do the work and also guide you on the best marketing opportunities, I would be able to help.

As a founder, sales and marketing are something you must learn. I run https://partnerwith.io and I can work with you on some sales, marketing, and partnerships initiatives that will drive revenue.

Let me know what you think

I'm confident I know quite a bit about marketing and sales, We're doing fine on our core product. It's just maybe an opportunity to get a fresh pair of eyes on the app as have tried most things.

I understand what you mean. I will reach out to explore the opportunities of helping you grow through partnerships marketing.

There are agencies in the PowerBI space you can partner with that will help co-sell your product in exchange for some percentage of each sale.
