I am a software engineer with four years of experience and I feel pretty much lost right now. Is there anyone else who feels the same?

I worked with 1 tech company last 2 years but they were so annoying and the distance was too long. They didn't want me to work remotely, although that wasn't a big problem for me. But...

The problem was...

I was wasting almost 80% of the paycheck on transportation charges. And that was a headache, how on earth will you work for a company that you got to depend on only 20% of the paycheck and waste the rest on transportation?

I talk to the managers about it but It didn't help, so I quit.

Currently, I only code for fun and I feel very lost right now. Becuase is seems like am up to nothing with my coding skills.
