I am building the community layer that affiliate marketing never had

After three months of promoting a brand you check your affiliate dashboard. You see that your commission rate has dropped from 20 percent to 12 percent. There is no email and no announcement. You only found out about this by accident.

This kind of thing happens all the time. Publishers sign up for programs through affiliate networks they do the work. They have no idea if the terms are still the same as what they agreed to.

The networks do not solve this problem. They are just tracking platforms that look at clicks and conversions and payouts. They do not care about community or transparency or reviews.

So I am building Referzia. Referzia is like a discovery layer that should be on top of the networks. It has program pages with reviews from publishers who have actually been paid. It also has commission history and a follow system that notifies you when an advertiser makes a change.

I think that if a publisher follows a program and the advertiser posts a commission bump or a seasonal bonus the publisher will get notified and come back to Referzia. For advertisers Referzia is a way to talk to publishers who are really engaged without going through a network.

This is a problem because it is a two-sided marketplace. I am starting by putting in program data so publishers have something to look at before advertisers show up.

I am happy to answer any questions or hear from anyone who has been on either side of affiliate marketing, with Referzia.
