Building in Public November 22, 2020

I am Fleeting every day about running a $5k MRR SaaS!

Jen @lunchbag

A lot of people were skeptical about the latest Twitter feature, Fleets (for the uninitiated, this is basically Stories on Twitter), but I think it opens up a lot of possibilities!

For one, my Twitter audience is mostly aspiring indie hackers and other folks in tech, so it's definitely a welcoming place to share the daily ins and outs of being a solo founder.

I've always wanted to do more "building in public" but I'm too much of a perfectionist with my content that I blog very rarely (๐Ÿ˜…) and Tweet only when there are major milestones to share.

I see Fleets as an opportunity to be even more transparent about the journey and quite honestly, to push myself out of my comfort zone (๐Ÿ˜–).

So, if you're interested, feel free to follow me on Twitter and check out my Fleets! https://twitter.com/lunchbag

If you catch today's, I walk you through deploying the latest version of Lunch Money. And if you miss any of the days, don't worry, I plan on stitching together all the Fleets of the week and posting that as a Tweet!

Let me know what you think and if there's anything in particular you'd be interested in seeing more of!

Hey Jen... I have been watching your fleets (sounds weird saying fleets) and I am enjoying the videos you are making!

The caption/lower third are a good touch. Looks like you are putting in effort for these fleets (they really have to rethink the name)

Jen, I wanted to follow you on Twitter after reading the post but the I realized that I already do ๐Ÿ˜… Will be in the lookout for your Fleets in the coming weeks.

Looks great, and I followed you!

Just a question - I'm not sure where I can find those Fleets. Is it a new functionality that is not rolled out yet to all Twitter users, or am I just missing something... ๐Ÿค”

I think it's only available on the iOS and Android app right now!

Ah I see, thanks! I'll take a look at the app then.

This is a very good iniciative! I have in mind using fleets (when they will appear in my Twitter) to share my journey making side projects.

You can make a thread with all of your fleets of the week and also you can submit the thread on threadok.com (that is the first website I'm launching)

Hi Teodora, I love that you are also building a Twitter-based product. I created www.favo.so a while ago to receive Twitter Likes via email.

Also please correct me if Iโ€˜m wrong but there is no way currently to get Fleets data from the Twitter API hence it wouldnโ€™t be possible to add them to any kind of threads, right?
