I AM SO SICK OF CLICKBAIT TITLES
Every post on the top page has titles like How I earned 10000000 Dollars in a few days or How you can earn 45000 Dollars in a day.
I think that moderation is purposefully putting them on top. It is clear that they are putting some users' posts on the top all the time even though they don't get upvotes or comments. It is just killing the vibe and it is boring.
Well yeah but I've only been here a few days and I already just ignore the "top list". If people aren't willing to read the New list then no democratic ranking can happen anyway.
Well that's the point of a "top list". Those stories with "clickbait titles" at least have a great title. Don't get so salty on something that isn't your worry.
Think of it this way. If you have an awesome story to tell, why would you have a generic title like, "I sold my SaaS". You would want to grab attention by saying something like, "Selling my SaaS for over $5k and what I've learned". The second title is much more eye grabbing.
