I asked one person what my site does. They said they couldn't tell.

Got told this week that my landing page does not explain itself. Not a stranger being harsh, someone I asked directly. They looked at it and said they could not work out what the thing does.

I rewrote the headline yesterday. No idea if that helped or not.

Someone on here suggested the five second test a few days ago. Show the page for five seconds, close it, ask what it does and who it is for. Not "do you like it". Just "what is it".

So I am asking. Open it, five seconds, close it. Then tell me what you think it does, and who you think it is for.

If your answer is "no idea", that is the most useful thing you can say and I want you to say it. I would rather find out now than post into silence for another two weeks.

Nothing to sign up for, it is free, I am not selling anything.

That one-person test is painful but high signal. Rewrite the page so a qualified visitor can identify the audience, trigger, outcome, and next action in five seconds, then repeat the test with five people who match the buyer rather than friends who want to be encouraging.
