It's pretty old-fashioned. I don't use AI to write my newsletter because a) there's a risk of hallucinations (which can lead to misinformation), b) AI produces really bulky, unreadable copy, and c) I just like the human touch.
The entire process is essentially Links of biggest developments dropped in Notion -> Read, digest, find most important headlines, notes (this is normally done throughout the entire day, since I'm on Twitter 24/7) -> Draft -> Add Images, sponsors, post settings -> Edit like crazy (spend 50% of my time here). Oh, and I test AI tools in between all of that, so I'm only recommending the best of the best to my readers.
For research tools, I use:
Occasionally if I'm stuck with writer's block, I copy what I've written, and I ask ChatGPT (GPT-4) to "Make this easier to read" or "Turn this into bullet points."
Another thing I do often is when editing, I copy the entire article that I wrote, paste it into ChatGPT, and prompt it: "Rate this newsletter out of 10. If it's not perfect, provide me with edits to take it to a 10." I don't always like ALL the changes ChatGPT has made, but I take the bits and pieces that I do like and add those in. It definitely helps me find basic errors and helps everything flow a bit better. You can kind of think of it as having a co-editor, except it's not a real human.
I do write the newsletter by myself still, however, I do have an editor who comes in and helps me edit things up in case I missed anything.
Pretty basic stuff. Let me know if I should expand on anything!
