Collecting leads was already a huge pain when it came to cold outreach
Then I had to deal with the problem of personalizing emails for each of my prospects
Only after I failed my first few campaigns, I realized that cold outreach was never just about sending emails at scale.
It was about making them count. And to do that, I had to make each one personal.
Not the kind of “Hi [First Name], hope you’re doing well” personal—but the kind that makes someone pause and think, “Wait. This person understands me & my problem”
But you know what that meant? Hours of research.
I’d start by pulling up their website, scrolling through their blog and “About Us” page, trying to find something worth mentioning.
Then I’d hop onto LinkedIn. Check their activity. Google their name for interviews or mentions.
Sometimes, I’d do great — find a new product they launched, an award they received, or even a tweet that could be converted into a perfect icebreaker.
Other times? I’d come up empty, staring at the blank CSV column without knowing how to start.
The worst part? It wasn’t sustainable. I once spent a full day writing personalized emails for just 15 prospects.
15! Sure, I got replies, but at what cost?!
Eventually, I started cutting corners. I’d reuse generic openers or skip personalization altogether.
And unsurprisingly, my response rates took a hit.
I remember thinking, “There has to be a better way.”
That’s when I realized the real problem: it wasn’t that I hated personalizing emails.
The problem was the manual grind—sifting through endless tabs, piecing together small talk, and hoping it would all pay off
So, I built something for myself - Tailored Emails
Something that could do all the heavy lifting for me.
Now, instead of spending hours researching, I just feed in a list of names and websites, and out comes a CSV with personalized openers.

And then I add my touch to the personalized openers and use this CSV directly in my cold email tool
