To pitch is a nightmare. Proof me wrong. As a startup co-founder I did it lot of times and always treated it as sense-lacking clown-showing stupid gig, UNTIL I realized how worth it is not for my potential investor but for me myself and I.
While we were inventing first form of our tool DigitalFirst.AI, we always thought about marketing tactics. We knew that know-how can and should be productized. But having a know-how and using it are two different things. That's why even though we created whole big Tactics Library we still had to come up with an idea how to recommend right tactics to right people.
(I even asked IH Community, how they to this - https://www.indiehackers.com/post/my-reasons-to-use-particular-marketing-tactic-and-what-are-yours-2995980d49).
So what would regular marketer would do, to attribute right strategies to their client? They'd probably BRIEF tf out of them. And so we did! We developed 5 Canvases (like Business Model Canvas, but going further into the business) and we tagged all of the tactics with adequate answers. Seems great, right? So easy and simple! Yup, you've guessed it - people didn't have the time and will to fill out long forms and answer all of these questions. The only way we could get information from business owners was to use the only way they knew - we had to ask them TO PITCH about their company. And this is the story how we came up with Business Statement - this is the only thing you have to fill out to get your adequate tactic set right now. Right now everyone can play with it thanks to this little iframe we got outside of our platform: https://presale.digitalfirst.ai/business-statement
I'd appreciate if you can share your thoughts about it like crazy - it took us a lot to make it perfect (OK, still not perfect, but getting there ;)) so every opinion matters. Thanks!
