I build a SaaS to easily create and manage productized services

This is the story of why I created https://breeew.com, hope you'll like it!

The story starts 5 months back, when I heard for the first time the story of Brett from DesignJoy.

I was working full time as a software engineer and was looking at ways I can diversify my incomes. With all the layoffs in the tech industry, I felt like it was probably best for me not to rely 100% on my job anymore. (Funnily enough, 2 month later I was laid off.)

The promises of productized services hooked me up straight away:

  • Getting paid in advance for the work you're doing
  • Recurring incomes while retaining some level of freedom
  • Modern and optimized way of working
  • Easiness of setup

But, after doing some research and seing some exemples online, I quickly understood setting up such a business wasn't so easy and the end experience for my subscribers wouldn't be great at all.

This is when my indie hacker mind started to think about how can this process can be streamlined and simplified.

Fast forward to today, 50 agencies later created using my SaSS, I can post on Indie Hacker saying confidently that https://breeew.com became the easiest and cleanest way to start a productized service today.

In 5 minutes you can get a client portal for your subscribers, get your Stripe completely setup and have a way to handle tasks and communication from the same place.

I'd be curious to get your feedbacks and thoughts on the platform... I'm building it in public on X and we now have a very active discord community helping each others out to created our productized services :D

Keep shipping!

This is great! I recently came across Jim designs and Design Joy and hacked together a site for myself. Made me think this would be a great product to launch! Congrats!

This looks pretty great. I'm planning to ramp up some consulting work myself, and could benefit from a platform like this.

Question #1: does it give you the ability to accept one-time payments instead of only subscriptions?

Question #2: Who do you consider your main competitors? And how do services like Beehiv and ConvertKit compare?

      Hey there 👋🏻

The nature of productized services is subscription based, but an increasing number of users are asking for one-off payments as well!

I'm actually working right now on adding add-ons and will give the opportunity to create essentially a "free" monthly plan with a one-off addon.

This way, the platform still revolves around the subscription model, but one offs will be possible :)

My main competitors are manyrequests and usequeue! But they essentially aim design services unlike Breeew that gives you a framework that works with most productized services

I've been following @anthonyriera on twitter for a while and I have to say that Breeew should save anyone launching a productized service a ton of time... I ended up putting together WordPress landing page with stripe links and a notion board for client / task management.

It's worth skipping the 50-100 hours of setup and using a well designed, well supported SaaS to launch instead.

Thank you Anthony for such a great feedback this is exactly why I started to work on breeew in the first place, to avoid this struggle and offer the best experience to the agencies and the subscribers! :)

Hey Alan, indeed the competition are mostly focusing on design services and are too bloated of features in my opinion.

This is what people like about Breeew, the simplicity of the UX and only the set of features needed!

This pricing model is I think really fair, because most people wouldn't want to pay anyway to test their ideas. I like the fact that the tool pays for itself!

Regarding what type of productized services so far, there is many design agencies, web, video editors, content writing and SEO experts :)
