Today I'm introducing https://xemlo.com.
A Chrome extension that extracts information from people who are waiting to be admitted to your Facebook group.
A friend of mine started a Facebook group and in a matter of 2 months, more than 5.000 people joined it.
From the very beginning, she knew building a mail list was a powerful tool and she wanted to get people's emails. What did she do?
Facebook allows you to ask questions to members who want to get admitted into the group. So, she asked, "What's your email?"
People who have a real interest in a group will probably have no problems providing their email to someone they trust. And 99% of them did!
On top of that, she asked them a few more questions to know what her audience's interests were. (single/multiple-choice questions)
She was manually admitting people into the group and copying and pasting the email and the answers into an Excel file.

When she told me this, I thought "No way! We are in 2021! We shouldn't waste 2 hours clicking a button and copy/pasting data!"
So, being a programmer and an Indie hacker, I decided to hack a quick tool that would allow her to retrieve the data in a much more automatic way.
I've done some tools I use internally that work in a very similar way and I decided to give this a go. Extract the information, store it and display it in a better way than an Excel file should be good enough to make her life easier
Clicking on a single button she would be able to retrieve and accept all pending members and save all the answers. On top of that, I would also get her all data available through their admission request.

Now she is able to search for members' data, name, cities, etc and export to CSV, Excel or just copy the whole data to paste it wherever she wants.

Not only that! he is now able to track how many members she adds per day and have a much better representation of her audience interests.

I've just launched the product today as a Chrome extension and I'm using Google Adsense to validate the idea and see if there's enough interest in it.
I'll be giving 15 free accounts to anyone here who wants to give it a try and/or provide some feedback. The accounts will remain free for 3 months.
Happy to hear what you guys think about it!
Very clever! You've inspired me to start a FB group and see what kind of traction I get. If I get some people joining, I'd love to try this out! Keep me in mind?
Sure thing! Let me know if you want to try it and I'll provide you the extension and the license key!
