I built 13 Python tools for B2B sales in 2 weeks. Here is everything that happened

Started with one script. Ended up with 13. Zero sales so far. Here is the honest account.

The build

I was frustrated paying for Apollo, NeverBounce, and three other tools that each did one thing. Built a Python lead enrichment script instead - takes company names, returns emails via Hunter.io, phones, LinkedIn, description as CSV. Worked well. Built an email verifier to go with it. Then a cold email writer. Then kept going.

Ended up with 13 scripts total. All Python, all run locally, all one-time purchase. The full list is at userova.surge.sh if you want to see what I built.

What I got right

The tools actually work. I use 4-5 of them weekly. The pricing is honest: one-time, no subscriptions, you own what you buy.

What I got wrong

Distribution. I had zero distribution strategy before building. Spent 2 weeks on product, about 3 days thinking seriously about who would find it.

The audience for these tools - SDRs, solo founders doing outbound, freelancers, small agencies - they are not primarily on IH. They are on Reddit (r/sales, r/coldemail), in Slack communities, in LinkedIn DMs.

I have access to IH. I do not have easy access to Reddit.

Where things stand

  • 0 sales
  • 121 cold outreach emails sent to sales influencers and newsletter operators
  • 0 replies
  • 90+ IH comments posted before this post

The outreach was the wrong channel. Newsletter operators promoting a $49 Python script is a bad fit. Should have gone straight to the buyers.

The honest question

For anyone who has broken through to their first 10 sales: what actually worked? Not in theory - what did you actually do that got the first dollar?
