I built 24 PDF tools that never upload your files — here's why.

Most online PDF tools (iLovePDF, Smallpdf) upload your files to their servers and keep them for a couple of hours. I kept running into situations where that felt wrong — contracts, IDs, medical records.

So I built MoguanPDF: 24 PDF tools (merge, split, compress, OCR, e-sign, convert to Word/Excel...) that run 100% in the browser with WebAssembly. Files never leave your device. It even works offline as a PWA.

It's free and needs no account. Happy to answer anything about the client-side architecture — the trickiest parts were OCR (tesseract.js) and encryption (qpdf compiled to WASM).
