I built 4 products in a month while working a 9-5.

I had no clue what people needed so I just started building

After 400+ commits pushing updates, bugfixing & solving problems, I now have a portfolio of products that solve real problems

Here's how you can copy me in 7 steps:

First off, "I don't have a problem to solve" is a lie.

Here's why:

You keep seeking that perfect problem to build a product for,
which leads to:

• No idea being good enough
• Problems seeming too small
• Never actually starting

To be successful you need to start somewhere.

To ship fast, let's decode the process

Shipping fast means we need to stop our perfectionism.

The product needs to be minimal but work just enough for people to use it.

Which gives you initial feedback to work on.

Here are 7 lifesavers for shipping fast:

Leaving your comfort zone:

One of the fastest ways to start.

• Don't worry about your skillset
• Don't worry about the complexity
• Don't worry about where to start

Immediately writing code will already put you ahead of 90% of people & get you closer to the finish line.

Escape the cycle:

To stop thinking of problems to solve you need a system in place that will expose you to new problems to solve.

idea - code - iterate - problem - product

• I built http://genppt.com
• Got sick of coding presentations
• Built http://pptxgenjs.siya.digital

Build a framework:

If you want to ship fast you need to work with what you know.

Ask yourself:

• Have I built something with this stack before?
• Do I know how to go from setting up to deployment in 10 minutes?

If not, build some todo-lists or other small projects to learn

Build first, design second:

To ship as fast as you can, you gotta stop caring about the design.

As long as the main application isn't working design is secondary.

Build the core first.

When you've fixed all the bugs then you can start designing.

Before that keep it minimal.

Build for yourself:

You should be your own target audience.

• You know the pain points
• The solution is clear to you
• You know how to solve the problem
• If you have the problem other people will likely have it too

Here's why it'll never work for you...

If you:

• Build products you have no connection to
• Follow trends
• Only build to make money

Chances are that you won't be able to deliver a good product and will give up.

Make sure you enjoy the journey and what you do!
