I built 40+ free browser tools with no login, no uploads, and no ads — here's what I learned
Hey IH — I've been building ToolForge for the past few months. The premise is simple: every tool you search for online is buried under ads, paywalls, or "sign up to continue" walls. I wanted to fix that.
Everything on ToolForge runs in your browser. No data leaves your device. No account. No waiting.
What's working so far:
Mortgage calculator — 21% bounce rate, people actually use it
Invoice generator — freelancers seem to love the instant PDF download
IP address tool — shows people exactly what websites see about them (location, fingerprint, ISP)
What I'm still figuring out:
SEO from scratch is brutal on a new domain. 3 organic sessions in the first 2 weeks
Getting the word out without a big existing audience
Current MRR: $5 (affiliate commissions just starting to trickle in)
