You know the craving. Dark. Cozy. Tense. Swoony. You know your spice comfort. You might even know the trope DNA.
You do not know the title.
That is the actual product gap. Not “more books.” Not another best-of list. The gap is the hour when you will either start a book or lose the night to scrolling.
Stars don’t encode that hour. Blurbs omit the thing that ruins it. “Books like X” usually means “same shelf tag.” BookTok heat talk is useful until one reader’s 3 is another reader’s 5.
