I built a cancellation flow so SaaS founders don't have to

I've been working on MRRX for the past few months and just shipped v1.0.

The problem: Most SaaS products let subscribers cancel with a single click. No one asks why. No one offers an alternative. The subscriber is gone and so is the revenue.

What MRRX does: It sits between your cancel button and Stripe. When a subscriber tries to cancel, they hit a hosted flow with retention offers you configure — pause for 30/60/90 days, discount, downgrade to a cheaper plan, or extend their trial.

What I learned building it:

  • Pausing beats discounting. "I need a break" is more common than "it's too expensive."

  • Matching the offer to the cancel reason is everything. A 10% discount won't save someone who found a competitor.

  • Every founder I've talked to knows they should build this. None of them have time to.

The stack: Next.js, TypeScript, Stripe Connect, Prisma, Clerk, Inngest, Upstash Redis. 182 tests passing. A+ security score (125/100 Mozilla Observatory).

Pricing: $79/mo flat. No percentage of saved revenue. I hated that model from competitors.

I'm offering a free 30-day pilot to the first 10 founders. No credit card, no commitment. DM me or check it out at mrrx.app.

Happy to answer any questions about the build, the churn patterns, or the tech.
