I built a Chrome extension that analyzes jobs and writes Upwork proposals faster — looking for feedback
Hey everyone 👋
I noticed I was spending way too much time writing proposals and replies on Upwork, instead of actually doing the work.
So I built a Chrome extension that:
- analyzes job posts & clients
- generates proposals
- helps reply to messages faster (with translation + voice support)
It works directly inside Upwork, so there’s no need to switch tabs or copy-paste.
Right now I’m in the early stage and trying to get feedback from real freelancers.
A few things I’m trying to understand:
- Would you actually use something like this?
- What would make it a must-have tool?

This looks useful, especially the job analysis part. For me, the bigger pain point isn't only writing proposals faster, but deciding which jobs are actually worth applying to before spending Connects. It might be interesting to add stronger job filtering, client history checks, and some control over the bidding workflow. I've seen a similar approach with an where automation is used around finding relevant opportunities and handling repetitive parts of the application process. If you can combine that kind of workflow with your in-page proposal generation, it could save freelancers quite a bit of time. I'd also definitely keep manual controls so users can review important proposals before sending them.
Would especially love feedback from people actively applying on Upwork — trying to understand if this actually solves a real pain or not.
