I Built a Clean, Ad-Free Word Finder for Wordle & Scrabble

Hey Indie Hackers!
On December 20, 2025, I quietly launched 5LetterLexicon.com — a fast, no-nonsense word finder for Wordle, Scrabble, crosswords, and anyone who loves playing with letters.

The Problem
Existing word finders are either slow, full of ads/pop-ups, or have outdated UX. Wordle players especially need something instant when they’re stuck on hard mode at 2 a.m.

What I Built

• 12,807 five-letter words (TWL/Collins + Wordle dictionary)

• Full 3–12 letter coverage with filters: starts/ends with, contains, without, double letters, Q-not-U

• 700+ long-tail pages with unique content, pro tips, FAQs, and schema

• Zero tracking, zero ads, zero distractions — just pure speed

Current Stats (Jan 10, 2026)

• 129 pages indexed on Bing (love you Bing)

• Google still validating 21 more (normal new-site crawl phase)

• ~20 daily users (mostly organic long-tails + direct)

• Zero spend on ads/marketing so far

Tech Stack

• Laravel (backend + dynamic long-tails)

• Custom word database + SEO table for 700+ pages

• Dynamic sitemap with real updated at for freshness

• Bootstrap + clean UX

What’s Next

• Add "without" filters (huge for Wordle hard mode)

• Real-time Wordle solver

• Mobile app

• Daily challenge mode
