I built a coding IDE for Android

I've been working on something I've wanted for a while: a proper coding workspace that I can use from my phone.

We have VS Code, Android Studio, and plenty of great desktop IDEs. But when you're away from your laptop, coding on a phone usually becomes a pretty frustrating experience.

So I decided to build RunCoder.

It's an Android coding workspace where you can write, run, and manage code directly from your phone.

It currently supports:

  • C

  • C++

  • Java

  • Python

  • HTML

  • CSS

  • JavaScript

It also has a mobile-focused editor, multi-file projects, templates, file management, code execution, web previews, and editor customization.

I built it primarily with students and people learning programming in mind — especially for those moments when you have your phone but don't have your laptop with you.

RunCoder is now available on Google Play.

I'd genuinely love feedback from other developers here:

What would make a mobile coding environment actually useful to you?

What am I missing? What would you absolutely want in an Android IDE?
