I built a community-driven Ko-fi creator directory over the weekend - to help creators get discovered better

Last year (2025), I built a simple but meaningful side project that I thought I'd share here.
As a Ko-fi creator myself (Ko-fi is a platform where artists, writers, podcasters, etc., accept donations or sell their work), I noticed there’s no real official directory to find and support other creators easily. You basically have to rely on random social media posts, search engines, or hope Ko-fi features someone.
That got me thinking: what if I built a community-powered directory?
Where:
- Ko-fi creators can submit their own page for others to discover
- Fans can recommend their favorite creators too
- Visitors can browse, filter by categories, and explore new talent
So I spent my weekend building ShareYourKofi.com - a free and simple discovery platform.
Everything is mobile-friendly, uses clean, simple layouts, and relies on a lightweight card-based system for browsing creators. I added simple likes/views counters to encourage engagement. There's also category tagging and filtering to help visitors find creators based on what they’re looking for (e.g., Stickers, Podcasts, Virtual Backgrounds, etc.)
Super happy with how it all turned out. As of today, 350 creators have listed their links on the site! That's an amazing growth - all word of mouth!

This makes sense to me because a lot of creator tools solve the transaction but not the long-term discoverability problem.
You can have checkout, memberships, or tips working fine and still feel exposed because the audience relationship is fragile and discovery lives outside the product. That’s why so many creators end up duct-taping together storefronts, directories, email, and community.
What I like about this is that it’s attacking the visibility gap directly instead of pretending monetization rails are the whole business.
I’m working on DukieX, so I spend a lot of time thinking about what creators should own versus what the platform should help with. This feels much closer to the real problem than another generic “sell digital products here” pitch.
