I built a concert diary because setlist.fm only tells you that you were there

Two years ago I tried to work out how many times I had seen one band. Ticket stubs in a drawer, a few photos with no context, half a festival weekend I could not reconstruct. The tools that exist stop at "attended" (setlist.fm) or point forward to upcoming shows (Bandsintown, Songkick).

So I built Gigvault: a diary for what you already saw. You log a show, the setlist and full lineup fill in automatically, openers and festival sets count as their own entries, and you get a Concert Wrapped that updates after every gig instead of once in December.

Where it stands: iOS, Android, web; seven languages; free with a $2.99 Pro tier; 5.0 on the App Store from a small number of reviews; solo, self-funded, side project since January 2025.

What I am working on now: programmatic SEO (festival and city pages), a daily blog in seven languages, and directory listings. Happy to answer anything about building a niche consumer app solo, especially the parts that did not work.
