A civil engineer told me his AI agent got stuck in an error loop while he slept and drained his entire API budget. I'm 18, just finished high school, and spent the last few weeks building Taskora to solve exactly that.
You connect your API keys, set a monthly spend limit, and when your agents hit 100% it hard-blocks all calls. Alerts at 80% so you're never surprised.
Would genuinely love feedback from people who actually run AI agents. What's missing? Would you pay $9/month for this?
From the perspective of an African perspective. 9 dollars here is about Kes 1170, that is enough to carry someone for a full week of supplies. So, 9 dollars would lock most african users out immediately, usually you can target bigger businesses and builders here where they have experienced this pain, and you may even be able to charge more if the need for a solution is very high.
I would agree but in most countries 9 dollars a month is nothing compared to the loss they could potentially have
This is a real pain, especially as more people run agents without watching every call.
I’d be careful positioning it only as a “spend kill switch” though. That explains the feature, but the bigger promise is probably closer to “cost protection for AI agents.”
The $400 overnight story is strong because it makes the risk obvious. I’d build the page around that kind of moment: agent gets stuck, API bill runs, founder wakes up to damage.
For pricing, I would not validate only with “would you pay $9/month?” I’d test who feels the pain most first: solo AI builders, agencies running client agents, or small teams with multiple keys and workflows.
The buyer who has already been burned by runaway API spend is much more likely to pay than someone just experimenting.
Really helpful framing thanks, have you personally been burned by runaway agent costs? If so, would you be open to a 10 minute call? Trying to talk to people who've actually experienced this before I change anything.
I have not personally been burned by a major runaway-agent bill, so I do not want to frame myself as that user.
But I can share the positioning side because the wedge is clear: this should probably feel less like usage tracking and more like cost protection for AI agents.
Happy to do a quick 10-minute chat from that angle if useful. Send your email or LinkedIn and we can take it private.
I'd love that conversation. My LinkedIn is George Konnaris add me there and we can take it private.
Sent you a request. Curious to hear how you're thinking about the “cost protection for AI agents” direction versus pure spend tracking. I think that positioning gap matters a lot here.
i didn't get anything, let me add you. Send me your name
Sure. My name is Aryan Y.
Here’s my LinkedIn too in case it’s easier to find me directly:

Once connected, I can share the sharper angle I had in mind around positioning this as AI agent cost protection instead of just spend tracking.
